Calvin Lynch, a native Pittsburgher and prominent artist, received his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in painting and design from the Philadelphia College of Art. He persona lly studied with W. Emerton Heitland of the National Academy, AWS, New York.
Cal also completed workshops with Wolf Kahn, Frank Webb, Judi Betts and Miles Batt.
During Cal’s career, he has had numerous one-man shows and has been accepted in more than 68 national annual juried shows where he has received awards and prizes. (See breakout for lists of shows and prizes received during past five years.)
In Pittsburgh, The National Flag Foundation’s permanent display contains more than 12 of Cal’s paintings. He was commissioned by Pittsburgh National Bank to draw the 1st of a series of Collector Plates; and Duquesne University Centennial commissioned him to do more than 30 drawings of their campus and people.
Cal is a full time artist doing watercolor and oil paintings, pastels and drawings. He is a member of the following national art organizations:
