A look back at Pittsburgh in the 1950s when Cal was a young artist working at a downtown ad agency. During his lunch hour, he wanted to capture the ever-changing spirit of the city. “The midday hustle is the heartbeat of the city,” Cal says. “The amazing thing about Pittsburgh, there is always material for the artist.”
This selected series of black & white sketches provides a unique historical perspective in honor of Pittsburgh’s 250th anniversary. Drawing sizes range from 4” x 7” to 10” x 14”. The medium is pencil, charcoal, or marker.
